On the contrary, much of the world lives with a wholistic worldview where all things are integrated. Faith, life, love, work, fellowship, family, government, all are integrated in a "complete code of life." I use that Islamic adage deliberately. This is surely what makes Islam attractive to some westerners. This secular world of disperate unrelated parts that swirl around us ultimately makes no sense. As integrated followers of Jesus, we should stand out as different in just that way. But do we?
How much are we (Westerners) children of our culture and its dichotomizing and marginalizing tendencies?
